I am using a Windows 7 computer and after installing MediaCoder 2011 x64 package, I started receiving an error “MediaCoder is unable to connect to Internet. Some enhanced features will be disabled. Please check your Internet configuration.” When I clicked on the OK button, it directs me to a welcome window with “Start Config Wizard' or 'Start MediaCoder' options. When selecting the first option, it directs me to UI. When trying to convert Free Lossless Audio Codec (FLAC) to mp3, I get an error stated below:

MediaCoder is unable to connect to Internet

For the MediaCoder to work, it needs a connection to the internet, and it seems like in your case you are having problems connecting to the internet with the computer that you are using. You will therefore need to troubleshoot the problems with internet connection for the process to be successful.

Check the network connection settings and make sure that they are properly configured as follows:

  • On your computer, click on the network identity button.
  • And then choose 'open network and sharing center'.
  • You will then need to click on change adapter settings, followed by local area connection.
  • In the next window click on TCP/IP settings and  make sure that they have been configured properly according to your network.
