After updating McAfee, I encountered an error:
McSACore.exe - Application Error
The exception unknown software exception (0xc0000417) occurred in the application at location 0x00fa8d12.
It keeps on popping up and I don’t know how to get rid of it. Please help me.

The problem you are facing is that your antivirus is not working properly due to the factor that you have updated your software and after updating your software it is not working properly. The reason is that when you updated the software there are some files which has missed or may be corrupted or has not updated well therefore you encountered this problem and if you want to get rid of the problem then do the following instruction:
1. You have to uninstall the software and then again install the software it will start working and would not update the software otherwise you will again getting this problem and if you want to update the software then first download the update version of the software and then install that software instead of first installing and then updating so this is the only best possible solution which I have so do this and it will work on your system and you will get rid of the problem.
The problem is with your mc affee main exe (executable file) It throws an exception to the main thread .
just do one thing download mc affee from their official website
home.mcafee.com/store/free-antivirus-trials
Now try opening it , it will say you already have mc affee now click on repair . it takes a while the nafter that do a quick system restart .
and now you see that error message vanishes .
The problem with unistalling and installing it is that you have to start everything from beginning likt licensing issues and all
So its better to keep that problem making mcaffee aside download another setup and repair it . Let it find and repair only the BAD files why should we remove it completely with a fresh one , keep that in mind
