I have been using MBAM Anti Malware with great success on my Windows 7 Home Premium. I just got a message saying MBAM stopped working. I quit everything and restarted my computer but got same error. I uninstalled and reinstalled it but same error appears. Any ideas why this is happening?

Error message:

[CreateService] Failed to perform desired action. Error code: 1072

OK

The Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Protection Module is already running

Did you attempt to upgrade to the latest version of MBAM? The error sometimes appear when you attempt to turn the protection module on after an upgrade without rebooting your machine. Try to perform a reboot after an upgrade. Also, when you say you uninstall and reinstall MBAM, did you perform a clean installation? You first need to run the MBAM clean-up tool. But you need to ensure that you have your license ID and keys, which means you must be running the MBAM PRO.

Download and install mbam-clean.exe

Hi Keith

What you need to do is uninstall the MBAM (Malware Bytes Anti Malware).Download this MBAM Clean Removal.

Then restart your computer then disable antivirus and download the latest version of MBAM

Restart then run a disk check.

Go to My computers/right click Local disk (C:)/choose properties/tools and check now/and click start.
