Hello!

I’m sorry to hear if you are having problems to “Master Reset” you phone. What exactly is happening? If you are having a problem resetting your phone you can try the two options below:

Menu Path Method to Master Reset your HTC Inspire 4g.

From you start screen press MENU and then look for SETTINGS. Under settings select SD & PHONE STORAGE. Select “Factory Data Reset” and you will be prompted again if you want to continue. If yes, then select ERASE EVERYTHING.

Key Stroke Method to Master Reset your HTC Inspire 4g.

Turn off your phone. Once it’s off, press and hold the VOLUME DOWN control and the POWER BUTTON. Keep pressing the button combination until you see the HTC logo followed by a white screen with a menu option. To navigate down the list just press the VOLUME DOWN control. Go to the FACTORY RESET option; make sure it is highlighted then just press the POWER button. Afterwards, your phone will restart and it will restore your phone to its original settings.

Note that this process can take several minutes so make sure your phone is fully charged.

Master Reset process will restore your phone to its original factory settings and will erase everything you have on it including your contacts, messages, apps, games, etc. So make sure to make a backup of everything you have before doing these steps.

If you are having a problem resetting your phone maybe to its factory default, try rebooting your phone then try resetting it again. See if it works on your next attempt. But if not and you are still having a problem resetting it, try turning it off. After that open its back cover then detach its battery.

Keep it detached maybe for a couple of minutes let’s say about 2 to 3 minutes. This is just to clear the device. After that, install again the battery, close the back cover and then restart the phone. See if you can now reset the phone.
