Mass effect 2 error report

Hi fellows,

I have been trying to install the game Mass effect 2 on my system but when the game starts to install and enters the setup, it gives me the following error. The screenshot is attached below:

Insert Disc…

Please insert the next disc (Disc1)

           Retry                   Cancel

There is only one disk I have so why am I getting this error message.

Any ideas how to resolve the issue?

Hello Young,

You might be getting that error due to the following reasons:

  • The disc that you are using might be corrupted. Therefore you will need to try dusting it off using a soft piece of cloth and then retry.
  • You might have not inserted the disc in the hard disk drive improperly, and therefore you will need to check that.

Hello Young Hern,

 

I know that Mass Effect 2 has two CDs. If you have only one CD, you might have experienced packaging error. If you can, return the game to where you got it and explain to them that Mass Effect 2 should have two CDs inside as stated in this site.
