Please help me solve the following error on my favorite multiplayer online game. It just pops up when trying to start a game.
HackShield Update Error: 0x30000030(805306416)
Cannot connect to the server.

There is a solution to your problem. Turn off first your windows firewall so that hack shield can perform properly. Next is to uninstall hack shield. Maybe it's been corrupted. Then uninstall your game, download it and run it it. Download hack shield again then turn on windows firewall back.

The error occurs when the HackShield is unable to connect to the server to check for the latest HackShield updates. To fix this error you should perhaps try these several solutions:
1. Disable antivirus or firewall.
2. Stable net connection.
3. Remove Internet Explorer Proxy Mode.
a. Open ‘Control Panel’.
b. Choose the ‘Internet Options’
c. Click the ‘Connections’ tab.
d. Click ‘LAN Settings’ button.
e. Uncheck ‘Use a Proxy Server for your LAN(These settings will not apply to dial-up or VPN connections)’ checkbox.
4. Re-install your HackShield.
5. Re-install the game.
