Making calls on Apple watch

I have realized that we will be able to make calls on the new Apple iWatch. I know that phones use SIM cards to make calls and I own an iPhone but would wish to buy the iWatch. Does this mean that I will need two SIM cards with the same number? This sounds odd! If not how does the watch transfer or detect calls to your sim card? If it is used with the iPhone, what happens if my phone is far or switched off?

Hello Jason!

One of the best features of Apple watch is that you can send and receive messages by selecting proper options. Apple watch have also microphone embedded to use it as a portable phone. You can only do this by synchronizing your IPhone with Apple Watch. Meaning to say you will only have one (1) sim card you don’t need to have two (2) sim cards.

If your IPhone is off you cannot access this feature. Apple watch will only grant you this feature accompanied by IPhone. Apple watch will serve as your extension device to answer phone call or send messages.
