I am using MAC and planning to upgrade the MS-Office to 2011 version. I just want to know whether I have to uninstall the previous version before the installation of MS – Office 2011.

Hi tashbarnet

I would like to tell you that you don't have to uninstall the previous version of the MS-Office.You can just simply download the latest version and install it without uninstalling the previous version without any problem. All the latest features would get updated without any problem. So just move on and install the latest version of MS-Office without hesitation. Just remember to restart the PC after the successful installation when it prompts you to do so. Hope this would help.

Thank you

No, there is no need of uninstalling the older version of OFFICE before installing the new one.

All you have to do is install the new version  OFFICE 2011,  than you can remove the old version with Remove Office Tools which is located in Additional Tool folder of Office 2008.

This is the path by which have go by

Application Folder ----> Microsoft Office 2008 ----> Additional Tools ----> Remove Office Tools

Thank you
