I just installed MEMOTXT Scheduler which sends SMS messages for appointment reminders.Â
The program just shows a white screen then eventually crashes.Â
I installed it on my iMac with OSx Mountain Lion.Â
Is this Mac software appointment scheduling not compatible with Mountain Lion?

Unfortunately MEMOTXT Scheduler is not compatible with Mac. It is only for Windows.
That is why the error shows up after which the software eventually crashes.
In this case, I suggest you use an online scheduler. It is easier and you don't have to worry about compatibility.
My recommendations for you are Acuity Scheduling which is very ease to use and definitely for your requirements.
