Hi Rochelle,

Office Home and Business 2011 for Mac is compatible with MacBook Air with Lion(OSX 10.7.1).

Just do note that there are two major things that upon installation of Office Home and Business 2011 for Mac which may not work on your computer. First thing is the Communicator for Mac. It tends to crash when you send instant message or try to start an audio or visual call. This as per the developers are trying to resolve this issue.

Another thing is that Outlook cannot import mail from Apple Mail. You can disregard this if you are already using Outlook. For this, there is no information on when a fix will be implemented.

I don’t think there should be any problem if you are running a Mac OS X 10.7.1 Lion on your MacBook Air and you are planning to install Microsoft Office for Mac Home and Business 2011.

This version surely supports your operating system.
