Hi All,
When i try to empty the trash i get the message that shows an error code.
Can any Mac geek help me here.
Trash
The operation can’t be completed because an unexpected
error occurred (error code – 8003).
Thank you.
Mac error ( error code – 8003).
1. In Finder Preferences, select "Empty Trash Securely".
2. Empty the Trash. Note that you could do this manually as well without even clicking on the first option.
IMPORTANT: This may take a long time, from minutes to hours, depending on how much stuff you have in the Trash.
3. You should not get the error while doing that.
4. Deselect "Empty Trash Securely" in Finder Preferences.
5. Delete a file as a test and empty the trash.
Mac error ( error code – 8003).
You know that you can force the Trash to be empty by just using the option key and so you can follow these steps:
-
Click on the trash icon in the Dock with your mouse so you will find that the context menu will be displayed and,
-
Then press on the option key and,
-
Then select empty trash from the context menu for trash and,
-
After that release the option key and,
-
So you will find that the trash is empty and,
-
You can empty and recreate an account's trash in the same time.
Hope this Solution is helpful.
