I have received a Lotus Notes error. It says that “An internal error has occurred” during ‘TypeaheadQueueController.start’ ‘java.lang.NullPointerException’?

I’m not sure how to fix this. What should I do?

Patty, it's a good idea that you have asked the question and I will solve it to the best of my knowledge.

That error message is most probably a result of the contacts from your lotus notes program.

You need to confirm that the full name field is computed correctly. How to check is by opening personal contacts (local names.nsf) from notes client. You then need to hold these keys alternatively together SHIFT+CTRL.

Click View > Go to.

It brings a list of hidden views.

When you select view, you may see the contacts from the field name.

Incomplete pictures, field name, full name or first name may be also a cause of the error.

Once you create a simple agent with a blank full name then refresh the documents, you may fix this problem.

I hope this helps.

Thanks.
