Hi,

I will guide you with some troubleshooting steps to fix the issue with the Lotus note on your computer.

>>Make sure you define variables correctly.

>>Make sure you have the latest service pack installed.

>>If this does not work, try resetting the internet settings.

>>You can also try reinstalling the Lotus Notes and see if the problem exists.

Thanks and regards,

Dear Hazelwlee,

To send an attachment by email generally it is preferred to send it in a compressed form to avoid troubles in sending like failure of sending and it would take less time to upload it.

The second thing there is a certain limit for the size of file you can send by email I think it is 50 MB for Lotus note check your file size and try to compress it.

Are you sending the messages outbound through a Microsoft Exchange server and are the Lotus Notes recipients viewing it as a winmail.dat file?

If so, then the difficulty is that the mail server you are sending your messages through is designed to send in TNEF format instead of native MIME to external recipients. TNEF is a Microsoft format, not a standard, though many mail servers do convert it properly which would explain why gmail recipients are not having the problem.

Up to date Lotus Domino versions can also convert it, but might not have the function created.
