I believe that I can use a VPN connection so that I can have the additional exchange server connected to our main exchange server that is located in another country in a WAN environment. Does anyone have any documentation regarding this subject?

Hi Walter,

To be able to locate WAN for your VPN you need to know the Public IP address of the particular computer. It would be better if you would know the username and the password for the administrator access on that particular computer. I have here a link for you where you can know more details regarding VPN on how it works in Local Area Network or Wide Area Network.

Hi,

VPN is used by organizations, who have secured networks, to be connected from point to point using an unsecured network such as the internet. To access, the remote user use the remote access VPN connection using a private network on the internet. Connecting between countries depends on the structure built by your IT. Check this site of Microsoft Technet for more details in your query. I hope this helps you.
