Loading encoded files into video converter causing error

Hello.  I get this especially boring problem when I attempt to load a video file into a video converter. 

On the computer in my living room, I want to encode videos using ATI MMC, and I was also trying to convert on another computer which is in my basement.  I received an error message while trying to load the encoded files into a converter as like Any Video Converter:

 Any Video Converter          
          
Cannot get media information of video file \QuinkcATIVideo CapturesMaster CapsRecount.mpg, insert failed!

Can anyone help me? Thanks a lot.

According to any video converter support page, they mentioned that this error "Insert failed"  while trying to add a video may happen because of a special character (non english) in the path or the name of the file you submitted which can't be recognized by the converter. Their solution is to modify the file name or the path and try again. But I can't see any special character in your path and I may be wrong, so if you really don't have any special character in your submitted path my advice to you is: try another converter.
