Loader Error: Http Query Info A could not be located

It's been a very distressing week since I always had this error when opening an .ods (OpenDocument Spreadsheet) file and .odt (OpenDocument Text Document) file.

The error just pops up when starting my computer. The error says "Loader Error. The procedure entry point HTTP Query Info A could not be located in the dynamic link library WININET.dll." I have done some troubleshooting such as running SFC and scanning my whole system with antivirus. I also tried to re-install IE8 and OpenOffice 3.3. What should be my next step in solving this issue? Can someone please help? Thank you.

I think you have   to reinstall your operating system. This seems to be broken wininet.dll is a Microsoft windows Dll. If you  get the same problem again, then you should delete the partition. Create new partition and Install required software as you need.

Hello Dean,

Did you try the System File Checker (SFC) on the computer? This program scans incorrect system files and replaces them with the correct versions. To perform this Go to Start type “CMD” (Command Prompt), right click then Run as administrator. On the command prompt type “sfc/scannow”. Don’t include the quotation mark.  This may take several minutes so please be patient. If this method won’t work the last option to fix this is to perform a Windows repair http://forum.thewindowsclub.com/windows-tips-tutorials-articles/32568-how-repair-windows-7-a.html. Good luck and hope this helps.

Regards,

Elliott
