I am experiencing a linux record microphone noise on Linux. I am just wondering if there's also an option in Linux just like in Windows where the noise is reduced. Anybody knows if I can do this in Linux?

Dear user,

You must be using PulseAudio if you have installed Ubuntu. Go to the PulseAudio volume control, if you don't have that, then please install it, you will then be able to record using Audacity. You have to set Audacity on default, click the recording meter button to activate it. Now go to the PulseAudio Volume Control, Audacity will be listed on the recording tab.

Hope this will help you.

Thank you.

Hi there,

As far I have studied on this matter, I found that usually people left the recording microphone settings as enabled everything. But if you do so usually you will get the noise in record. Sometimes you may will not get any data from recorded file. I want to suggest you that please disable any kind of mixing functions and enable any kind of digitalize function you have in your settings. I think the noise will be removed or at least it will be reduced. I hope this will help you.

Best regards,

Riley Weaver.
