I was using Access 2002 and now migrated to Access 2007. Usually I am importing two files to Access from Paradox 4.5 in which one file is having ‘ASCII’ and one file is having ‘International’. I don’t know why both are different even if it seems like the same. The problem is I have to manually change anyone by using registry edit. If it is not done, an error message will pop up which displays that ‘Unexpected error occurred from external database.’ The error code is 11265. I have no idea why this is happening. I have doubt that it is happening because of user permission. Please help me to get solve this problem. I will thankful be for all help and support.

Linking error with BDE Table Paradox in MS Access 2007

Hi Priscilla,

Getting this error may mean that there is a configuration /access problem on Borland Database Engine (BDE). You can try to add Authenticated Users group to the share and provide full access control.

Another option for you would be to create a new local user group that will be given full access to the share. Use RunAsUser on Network Manager Application to change the identity during runtime for this user.

Lastly, you must make sure that if a Network Manager is installed on your server, running your BDE based software on interactive mode is not reasonable. You need to restore the default value of NET DIR by using c: and BDEAadmin to amend it.
