I am planning to buy a new printer for my home office. Is it advisable to have a continuous ink system with your printer? How is the life span of printers with continuous ink system compared to regular printers that does not have it? Which is more advisable for home use only?
Life Span of Printers with Continuous Ink System
Hello Nathan Bale.
Personally, I think it is more cost effective to use a continuous ink system on your inkjet printer. I have a Brother DCP-165C which I bought 2 years ago for use at home. Back when I was still using original ink I couldn't print as much as I needed to. Everytime I print a document or photo I worried how it was costing me. I then decided to buy the continuous ink system which is basically just a super upsized set of ink cartridges. No messy hoses, no modifications required on my printer. It's been more than 2 years already and I haven't even had to refill my cartridge. The printer still prints flawlessly. Not to endorse or anything but I suggest you get a Brother printer so you would not have to put up with messy hoses and complicated set ups for your continuous ink system.
