Hi,

Would I need a 2 license package for my Mac computers? I have a Mac Book Pro that I use when I travel and an iMac that I use when I’m at home. I only use computer at a time.

Waiting for reply.

Hi,

I will help you to clear your concern. You have two Mac computers. If your Mac OS X is pre-installed, then you do not have to worry. It is a single licensed version. And if you have bought the Mac OS X DVD and installed in both the machines, then it is illegal. You need to buy multiple licensed version.

Hello Helenmarmstead,

First is to make sure what kind of license scheme do you have. There are two kinds of license scheme, you see. I don't know the exact term.

One is the "user dependent", where you can install it on multiple machine as long as there is a set number of users.

The other is the "machine dependent", where anyone can use it as long as there is a set number of machines you can install it to.

I don't know what licensing scheme Mac OS uses so try to contact Technical Support first and ask them about their license scheme.

Hope this helps.
