The LED lamps are actually being boasted by Phillips as more energy-efficient and long lasting. The LED lamp can last up to 20 years if only used 4 hours a day.

The normal lamp consumes 25 Watts but the LED lamp and consumes 9.7 Watts only. Giving of 940 lumen with a coloring render index (measures the light quality) with a color temperature same of an incandescent bulb and can adjust its dimness plus it is environmental friendly as it only emits 1.26kg of carbon per year unlike that of a normal 10.5 kg per year. 

It may look pricey but honestly, it is such a great investment as you don't get to replace them for more than a handful of years. Plus you can get to save more money on electricity bills within the span of 18 months. Plus no hazardous substance is contained in the LEDbulbs which will worry you on its disposal and where you should place it.

If customers are asked, they think LED lamp of Phillips is a great idea and is willing to pay more for it.

The Philips A19 LED bulb manufactured by Philips is a refresh in their once popular 12.5W LED lamp. It is priced from $20 – 25.

It has now become a standard for consumers buying LED lights. It is designed similar to their Hue bulbs having the yellow remote phosphor to be hidden and smoothed over cooling fins. It is still designed to disperse heat but the lower half covering of the bulb is designed by the company to use the design similar to their AirFlux-equipped models.

The new A19 LED bulb uses 11W of electricity and gives off 830 lumens making it generate 75 lumens-per-watt [lpw]. The 12.5W bulb is rated to generate 800 lumens making it at 64 lpw. To simplify it, the new A19 12.5W LED bulb is 17% more efficient and consumes 12% less power.

It will be sold in 2 temperature colors: daylight [5000K] and soft white [2700K]. When the bulbs go on sale only the soft white will be made available and will be certified as Energy Star approved. Because the guidelines only approve range from 2700K to 4000K and the daylight color is way above the allowable rate. In 2013, these guidelines are expected to be updated which incorporates higher Kelvin counts.
