I am using HP laptop. I am not able to finish an important update due to the error “windows update error code 8007371c.”
Can someone advise what to do with this issue?
Also, tell me, should I ignore the error and install Windows 7.

I just found a solution to your problem.
Just, follow these instructions below to run SFC scan on your computer and also to provide the CBS log in your reply:
On the Windows Vista & 7, click on the Start Menu, and then in the search boxtype cmd, and right-click on the cmd icon and then select Run as Administrator.
On the Windows 8, you have to drag your cursor into the bottom-left corner of the screen, right-click on the menu preview, and select Command Prompt (Admin).
On Windows 8.1, just right-click on the logo of Windows in the bottom-left corner present in the screen and select Command Prompt (Admin).
Next, enter the command below and then press Enter;
sfc /scannow
After the scan completes, then enter the following command and press enter.
copy %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log “%userprofile%\Desktop\cbs.txt”
After completing this, a cbs.txt file will appear on your desktop. Upload that file on Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive and download its URL.
