I was just wondering about what is experimental error. Every time I try to read about it, I fail to understand the same.
Is there anyone who can help me?
Experimental errors are those errors which may appear in the execution of a design that is statistical as well.
Different forms of experimental faults involve human error, or bugs in the content entry; systematic error, or faults in the experiment design; or random error, which occurs by environmental conditions or other unpredictable causes. The design tries to minimize experimental error, to produce the most accurate data possible.
Experimental error is the difference or variation between a measurement and the actual value or simply the difference between two measured values. Experimental error is measured by its precision and accuracy. Accuracy is the measurement of how close the measured value to the actual or accepted value.
Because a true value for a physical quantity may be unknown, sometimes it is not possible to verify the accuracy of a measurement. Precision is the measurement of how close two or more measurements agree with the other. It is sometimes referred to as “reproducibility” or “repeatability.” A measurement that is highly reproducible has a tendency to give values that are very close to one another.
Error analysis is the study of uncertainties or doubts in physical measurements.
