PowerShell is an amazing tool that will permit you to execute scripts on your server.
PowerShell is present along with Windows Server 2008 R2, but it must be added manually to Windows Server 2003. I had a customer who got server infected with a virus, and it was a big problem to do anything to the box as when they logged in, the virus kicked in and restricted them from running anything.
Even the Remote Management was NOT present on the windows server, so they were in a great problem.
