PHPEdit is a commercial IDE or Integrated Development Environment that runs under Microsoft Windows and is used to work on PHP. It offers a bunch of tools allowing you to work easier and faster on your every day work. Here are some of its features:

  • Syntax highlighting
  • Code hint
  • Code insight
  • Integrated PHP debugger
  • Help generator
  • Customizable shortcuts
  • 100+ scriptable commands
  • Keyboard templates
  • To-do report generator
  • QuickMarks
  • Plug-ins

The above post of PHPEdit is the older one. The latest version of the application is PHPEdit 5.0 and if you want to have it, you can visit ZDNet | PHPEdit. It is priced at $113 but if you want to try it, you can freely download it from the link above. I’m not sure though if it also has the free 30-day trial period like the previous versions. This version supports Windows 2000, Windows 2003, Windows XP, and Windows Vista. Before installing PHPEdit 5.0, be sure to install Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 because this component is required.
