Firstly, It may be a problem of your laptop monitor/screen. Your screen may be damaged. In this case, You must repair it or buy a new one.

Secondly, It may be a problem of connection between your motherboard and your screen. May be the connection wire is cut-off but CPU system is still running. So you cant see anything in your screen. This problem may be repaired.

Thirdly, It may be a option in the control panel of your PC. Go to the Control Panel in your laptop & check the Display settings and also the Power Saving options.

don't think it's a software related problem or Virus attacked problem. The probability of hardware problem is huge in this case.

Check the upper reasons.

Hope you will get solution.

Thanks.

If the monitor turns black and the computer is still running,

like there are still lights on, then perhaps the computer just went into sleep or standby mode and is not really having a problem, that is if it goes back on when you try to wake it up.

Otherwise if you are typing on the keyboard and you have no display, try using an external monitor. If there is display on the external monitor then the problem is your laptop’s display otherwise you may need to have your graphics card replaced or the motherboard if you have an integrated video solution.

First thing to do is to check the buttons on the upper part of your keyboard for a button that disables the screen. In my sister’s laptop, there is a button there located on the upper middle part of the keyboard that, when pressed, turns the screen black like when you turn it off. Then when you press it again, the screen turns back to normal.

The button is activated by the “Fn” key. If you can’t find a particular button, just turn your laptop off. If your screen is black, press the power button once then wait for the laptop to shut down. By default, pressing on the power button automatically initiates a system shut down.

When the laptop is off, wait about ten to twenty seconds (10 – 20) before turning it back on again. If the problem continues, just bring the laptop to the nearest service center or computer shop for servicing.
