Laptop Ram issue while idle need help

At present, my laptop is running Windows 8 with 4GB RAM on it. I looked on my Task Manager and it shows 50MB is already used but yet, it also says, 85 to 93% is also used up. I'm not quite sure which is which and it makes me so confused. Also, recently, when I start my laptop, the RAM is normally around 27% is used with some processes. But this time, it's 90% without the processes. Is this an issue with my RAM? What is taking too much memory?

Below are a few fixes you can try

  1. A program called Condusiv IntelliMemory can take up a lot of your computer’s RAM.  This program can easily and safely be removed.
  • Go to Start>Control Panel>Programs
  • Click Uninstall a Program
  • Click on IntelliMemory and click the Uninstall button
  • Follow the prompts to remove it from your computer
  1. You might have a bad driver which will leak memory
  • Install Windows Driver Kit
  • Run poolmon.exe and look to see which pooltag is causing the high RAM usage
  • When you find the pooltag, open command prompt and type the following findstr /s <Pooltag> *.sys to see which driver is shown
  • The ATI 12.10 driver is known to sometimes use high RAM.  You can install the new 13.1 WHQL driver to fix it
  1. You should always make sure that you have the latest drivers installed
