Hello, TechyV experts!

I recently had a problem with Pointsec in my laptop. It's boot up and right after it says "Pointsec for PC" in the upper left corner. As well as, it comes to present an all blue screen and said "Database corrupt. psmain: ad51" I am suspecting my laptop is lost with Pointsec blue screen. Now, what can I do?

Hi there David E Peterson,

There are two or three things you can do to fix the problem. Two of the solutions includes removing Pointsec from your laptop. In case you have the image of your freshly configured laptop you can just restore the image to the point before installing Pointsec.

Another way to remove Pointsec is to create a rescue USB/CD that will give you the option to remove the Pointsec. Unfortunately, you didn't mention what OS you are using so I can't give you the step by step instructions how to do either.

The solution without removing PointSec from your laptop is to contact the Technical Support and ask for psmain.iso. That is a bootable utility that will fix the corrupted database.

Best regards,

Drake Vivian
