The battery of my Asus Eee Pad Transformer has been acting badly recently. Why is this happening that when every time I’m done using it and then I place it in the dock to charge it but it only fills 95%-98%.

Hi Zachary, As Constant usage of your Gadget your battery starts to deteriorate depending on usage and cycle of charging. Once every 30 charge cycle you need to fully discharge the battery to prolong life span and one causes of faster discharge is the Temperature and Overcharging the battery, decreasing the power and capacity. Once you charge the battery using a fast charger it also produce much more heat, And heat is one of the reason to deteriorate faster the battery. It is much better if you fully discharge your battery before charging except in lithium polymer battery. I hope this will help. Thanks

Almost all of the laptops use the same technique while in charging process. After you plug off the power supply of your charger it will show you 98% charged. After this it will reduce by time. This is the actual case of battery although you can check that your battery is of low quality or of a good quality. There are two types of batteries available in market now a days and you can check that what is your battery type and what is your requirements. Most of batteries remain for about 1 and a half hour but a good quality battery can also be used up to two hours. Temperature of the room also affect your battery life so you need to check that at what temperature you are operating your computer. You can then check your environment to make sure that you are using your laptop in a good environment.
