I have lag issues whenever I cancel an item search in MS Outlook 2007 and I’m wondering if someone can help me deal with it. Whenever I click the cancel button during a search in Outlook, there is a very long delay before the search is actually cancelled.

Can anyone help me make it faster? Is there a quicker way to cancel the search? Thank you.

This lag problem doesn’t only happen in Microsoft Outlook 2007 but with other applications as well. I also experience this problem most of the time when I am doing some task on my machine.

There are times that when I install an application and then I uninstall it again just after installing it, the process stalls in the middle of the screen.

Although Windows didn’t become slow but the task I am doing got stuck. And this affects the shutting down of the machine. Whenever this happens I would always try to shutdown my computer but the uninstallation that got stuck prevents this that’s why I’m always forced to forcibly shutdown it. But the only good thing is that uninstalling the program again after I restarted the computer finishes up fast without any problems.

That’s why if you frequently experience lag problems after cancelling a search operation in Microsoft Outlook 2007, always try to remember not to cancel the search operation when it has already started and let it finish before you quit.

It would also help if you regularly maintain your system like regularly doing a disk cleanup on your hard drive and defragging your system drive to improve its performance.
