Hello friends! I want to send some important files and folders over the internet network. Since there are a lot of documents that contain large sized images and videos also, so I am thinking of making a compressed file. Does anybody know how to zip a file on Windows operating system?

A zipped file take up less storage space than uncompressed files and is more quickly transferable. In Windows, zipped files and folders work the same way as the uncompressed files and folders. We can combine several files into a single folder to easily share the whole group.
- Locate the file or folder on your computer that you wish to zip.
- Press and hold the file or folder, select Send to, and then select the compressed folder.
A new folder with the same name and .zip extension will get created at the location. To rename it, press and hold the folder,select Rename, and then type the new name as desired.
