The Kernel is unable to re-read the partition tables

Hello experts,

Recently, I configured my system using raid software so the petitions relate to the dev/sda mite devices in Linux. I get the following error message when I try to launch any partition. How can I avoid this annoying error? Have any idea?

Thanks for any suggestion.

The Kernel is unable to re-read the partitiontables on the following devices: – /dev/sda

Because of this you will only have limited access to these devices. Unmount partitions on a device to get full access.

Hi Wilbur,

The error you are talking about is actually not new and has been experienced by many users. This is unfortunately due to a bug in Ubuntu. It occurs when you try to install Ubuntu with raid system. However you can reboot your system and simply ignore it. This should result in normal operational use.
