Hello,

I get the following error message that the KeePassRPC.plgx plugin is not compatible with the current version of KeePass. I have checked on the Internet and they are compatible. Does anyone have any solution for my error please ?

Thanks !

KeePass

The following plugin is incompatible with the current KeePass version: /home/jsavga/KeePass/KeePassRPC.plgx

Have a look at the plugin’s website for an appropriate version.

Hello Michael,

In order to get the KeePass to operate smoothly, the following items are required. You need to most up to date package which contains the source code. The can be obtained from the  KeePass website. In addition a C# 2.0 Production IDE will be required. Examples are SharpDevelop and Microsoft Visual Studio.

If the application says that your current plug-in is not compatible then you haven’t updated the program yet to the latest version. If this is the case, download and upgrade to KeePass 2.27. But remember when upgrading to version 2.x, you should have Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 or above to make it work properly. If you haven’t installed it yet, download and install Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Service Pack 1.

Once KeePass 2.27 is installed, reinstall the plug-in in error then see if it works. If installing Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 is not an option for you then you should stick to KeePass 1.x to avoid any errors because version 1.x doesn’t require Microsoft .NET Framework. But the problem if you’ll use version 1.x is that it is an old version.

If you are using different plug-ins with KeePass then it might not work properly. Just make sure the plug-in is compatible with your current KeePass version before installing it.
