Hello,

  1.  First make sure you have the latest version of BB Desktop manager for Mac (4.0.1).
  2.  Backup everything on your device.
  3.  After backing up, try clearing out the Address Book database.
  4.  After that try Restoring it back to the device .
  5.  Finally Sync your data.
I hope this resolves your problem

Cheers,
John.

If you are getting that error when synchronizing your BlackBerry phone with your Mac computer, I think it alerts you of something like your Mac operating system is not compatible with the application or something. To better view the problem, check again the manual that comes with your phone.

The details about the BlackBerry Desktop Manager software is included there as well as its system requirements. I’m not sure if all phone applications are the same because my Nokia’s computer application has its system specifications listed on its manual. I think it’s the same with your phone.

Check with your phone’s manual if your BlackBerry’s computer application is compatible with Mac platforms. If not, I think you may need to visit BlackBerry’s official web site and check if there is an available phone application that is compatible with Mac operating systems.

If your phone uses a USB cable to synchronize with the computer, try transferring the connection to the other available USB port and try it again. It is possible that there is a problem with the USB port you are using.
