I got a “JVM 523” error on my BlackBerry® smartphone.

The screen just turns out white with this error.

How can I troubleshoot this error?

The smartphone encountered a Java® Virtual Machine (JVM®) application related problem and is unable to continue running.

1. Perform a hard reset by removing the battery from the smartphone and reinserting it.
