Hello.

I tried to update iTunes for my new iPhone 4.O and did it because my iPhone did not connect with older versions of it. It didn't update. I uninstalled it and tried to reinstall it but I get this error.

"error has occurred during installation assembly."

Then I pressed OK and it says "status: rolling back". It says that Apple Mobile Device wouldn't start too. I tried a lot of ways but all goes in vain. Went through the forums and everything but was unable to solve this.

I have uninstalled every application that iTunes comes with for a clean new installation but When I try to cancel the installation after all of these error messages and it just will NOT go away.

Finally I ended this task and tried to reinstall it but this time it says that my system isn't modified for iTunes and have to install later.

Please help me to fix this.

Thank you.

Hello,

Before performing any troubleshooting. I suggest you clean your registry first from the clatter. You can use cleaner a free software to do that. Here: http://www.piriform.com/CCLEANER

After you cleaned your registry try to see if your "windows modules Installer" is started in the services.

Also, Try to disable your anti-virus software and let us see it we can install it. You can download the latest version of Itunes here: https://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

Hi Franke,

This error 1935 is often caused by having the registry on the computer reached the max limit. You might not only have issues updating your ITunes but if you will try to run windows update you will get the same error when you check on the update logs. Normally this requires to refresh the .NET and the Visual C++ components on your computer.

You can use clean up tools for removing .net then reinstall them by downloading it from Microsoft. However, you have to be cautious on this step as .NET is also required to run other software. You can first try to run the Fix it tool provided by Microsoft to resolve such issue.

You can go to this link to run the tool.

You can try the following steps:

  1. Try to empty first your temporary directory on your “C:” drive. If you were not unable to delete it, kindly close all the programs especially in the notification area of the windows taskbar (If you still not able to delete the items in the folder, just try to delete as many items inside the Temporary folder).
  2. Remove iTunes and all related components completely such as Quicktime, Bonjour, Apple, etc.
  3. Once you have completed the above steps, you can install the latest versions of iTunes.
