ITunes stops its installation in the middle

Hi experts

Suddenly iTunes stops its installation in the middle and then iTunes shows this error message:

Error:

Error getting file security:C:program FileCommon FileAppleMobile Device SupportbinYSFileShim.dll GetLastError:5

I need to solve this error. What should I do? Thanks a lot.

Hi,

You have problems in installation of iTunes. If you using windows 7 operating system and iTunes 10.5 there is some problems will occurs during installation. For your operating system you can use iTunes 10.6.1.

Your problems also may occur when conflicting software with iTunes are installed in your computer.  In this case you have to find out that, your computer must not contain a quick time player before installation of iTunes.

First uninstall the iTunes software and remove all directory files from program files. Don’t delete program files folder, just delete iTunes folder. Check quick time player is installed or not. If it is installed previously, then uninstall it. Then restart your computer. Then install the iTunes 10.6.1 in your computer. I hope your problem will be solved.
