Hello Experts,

ITunes library use relative paths have an error. When I tried to use a relative path for all my iTunes library files there is an error occurred that saying invalid or unable path. I wish you can give me some solution or way to resolve this problem. Your suggestions and advice will be much appreciated.

Thank you.

Hello Chloe,

The first workaround you should try in that case is simply restarting iTunes. Also check the paths to the file location and make sure that they have not been altered. You might want to try recycling iTunes just to make sure that the file paths that are being used are the correct ones.

Regards,

Nicke

I should say this is a very common problem for all apple users.
Try the following steps to fix the problem:

. Look for a file named “iTunes library.xml” in windows explorer. Copies that file into your computer to back up in case everything will not go well.

. Next, right click your original XML file and click “open with” notepad.

. These files should contain the list of your songs, videos and etc. You can also notice that each paragraph there is the file path specifying location of the file.

. Make sure that all paths are leading to your actual music folder.

. In ‘find what box’ type the incorrect file path then and ‘replace what box’ key in the correct path for your iTunes.

. After which, quit notepad and save XML file. Open iTunes and then try to play a song.

Hope this helps.
