Hi Wayne,
The error is because Microsoft .Net framework is not installed properly.
The solution to the error is as below:
1) From the 'Control Panel' -> 'Add or Remove Programs', select uninstall to remove the installed version of MS .Net Framework

Microsoft-Net-Framework-uninstallation-window

2) Follow the uninstall steps through wizard
3) Restart the system
4) Go to official Microsoft website :download.microsoft.com/download/2/0/e/20e90413-712f-438c-988e-fdaa79a8ac3d/dotnetfx35.exe
5) Download the installation file, follow the installation wizard
6) Restart the system, after the installation is complete

This can happen if iTunes is not installed properly. The easiest way to fix it is to install iTunes again without uninstalling it. It will simply overwrite the files in the installation folder. Download the latest iTunes and install it. This should fix the problem. If this doesn’t work, uninstall and reinstall iTunes. Download the free version of Revo Uninstaller and install it.

Once installed, start Revo Uninstaller then select iTunes among the applications and click “Uninstall”. Follow the normal uninstall process. When uninstall is complete, click “Scan” to scan your computer for any leftover files and delete everything it finds. This removes everything the program created on your computer. When it is finished, close Revo Uninstaller and install iTunes back.
