Hello,
When I click "Check for Update" in iTunes, then the following error shows.
I am linked to the net by system of an Ethernet Cable. Also I am able to contact the iTunes store, so defiantly I have a relation to the web in iTunes.
But now it says, try again later and I have been trying so many times. Is this a error with iTunes or Apple?
Error : the iPhone software update server could not be connected.
Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active, or try again later.
Please help me.
Thanks a lot.

To solve that issue with iTunes, here are the steps that you should follow:
Disable the Firewall and Anti-Virus on your computer.
Uninstall and then Re-install iTunes
If you are using windows operating system, then this will be a very method to use. Sometimes, just uninstalling iTunes and then later on re-installing its updated version will resolve network connection errors perfectly.
Flush the DNS Cache
You will need to flush your DNS cache so that you can resolve the network time outs just in case you have a problem using the methods above.

This question is very difficult to solution. Solution of this problem is follows.
If you are getting the error message "Unable to check for update" when you try an OTA (over the air update) there are two things to try:
1. Change DNS Servers
If the above does not work then try the second option
2. Reset device
These are the two known fixes at the moment. I hope this helps.
