Hi Mr. Cooper,
It is a great plan to leave it quarantined for awhile but it is not safe to have a quarantine virus because it is still a virus. Call any website technician to help you examine the quarantined items before you do anything else. But there always the best thing to avoid against computer virus is that to download antivirus software in your computer. You can download any famous and proven software such as Norton, Avast and Avg. If you have virus software that is up to date this may help you to clean and virus-free your computer against any spyware, malware and adware malicious viruses.

Hai Elias Cooper,
Yes it is 100% safe when a virus is quarantined. Because quarentine is a safe vault and attempts to move the file to a safe location that is
managed by the antivirus software. Files in quarantine are rendered inert. They can't harm the machine. If you want to remove them from quarantine, and are sure they are not false positives, then clearing out the quarantine is fine. And also deleting files from quarentine is not a good idea. Because when a file is deleted the original file will be deleted also. If it happens to the program files of our computer the next second your pc will be crashed....
Hope these helped.
Regards.
