Hi friends,
In my working place we have few standalone PCs that runs our small system. We cannot install SQL server in the each PC. So it is possible to run the SQL database from the external hard drive such as plug and play device? Thanks.

Hi Kelseyy Jones,
The answer is YES. You can even actually run SQL Server database, the database manager and an application program on a USB drive. Just simply include the SQL compact DLL files in your application directory. You will learn here how to do it.

Hi,
I will certainly help you. You can install SQL Server in external drive and use it in all PCs. But in my opinion, networking is the best possible solution in this situation. As you have multiple PCs, you should make one a Server and connect all to it. You can install SQL Server in the Server and access it via networking.
