Recently, I bought a Brand new PS3 with many games but my HDMI Cable was badly damaged by my pet mouse. I have a PS2 also, Is there any way to run the PS3 by using the Cable of PS2 without making any damage to the PS3 and it internal hardware.

Yes you can use the cables cause PS3, PS2 and PS1 use same cables to connect with the TV.

After using the cable you might have to change the output video settings on PS3 so it does know that the output is coming through composite cable and not with the HDMI cable.

If the image doesn't comes up you might need to reset the video settings and you can do that by holding the power button until you hear the beeps two times and after that PS3 will reboot and give the best settings it needs to be connected and it will start working fine.

I Would suggest you to by the HDMI cable its self for PS3. There are convertor adapter available in market for PS2 to PS3 i have to tried those. So i am not sure if its reliable. I would suggest to get HDMI cable.
