I was trying to install Adobe Flash in 64 bit, but there’s an error that is always appearing.

It says "Unable to register DLL/OCX: RegSvr32 failed with exit code 0x5.".

Is there someone who can help me on how can I do this? I will really appreciate your help.

Thanks a lot.

Adobe Flash can be installed in 34-bit or in 64-bit operating system. If you are experiencing difficulty there could be any damage files in your system that hinders the installation of adobe flash. Run system file checker and use the command /scan now switch.

It will scan vital Windows files on your system and will repair the necessary damage files. Restart your computer then try to install again Adobe Flash into your system.

Hi Techyvman,

You can try these following solutions:

  • This can be caused by UAC problem, this means that you have to run the installer with elevated access or in Windows administrator with full access. If running Windows admin rights did not work try to turn it off from the control panel and then restart the computer.
  • If that fails and then installer works on another computer try to run a scan on the computer to check for windows files corruption. Type in SFC /scannow from an elevated command prompt.
