Yes, it is possible to install Android on your Samsung S8600 Wave 3 Smartphone but don’t expect that it is the latest version. The Samsung S8600 Wave 3 handset runs on Bada 2.0 which is Samsung’s proprietary operating system. So generally, it doesn’t run on Android in the first place. You can install Android 2.0 XXLD1 [S8600XXLD1] on your Samsung S8600 Wave 3 and here’s how.

To begin, download Android 2.0 XXLD1 [S8600XXLD1] on your computer. After that, you need to download Odin 3.09 to be able to install S8600XXLD1. After that, put your mobile phone in download mode. Turn off your Samsung S8600 Wave 3 and then press the volume down and Home buttons simultaneously. While doing these, press the Power button.

When you see an alert message on the screen to put it into download mode, press the volume up button. Unpack Odin then start the program. Connect your phone to your computer using the USB cable. A message will appear at the bottom left corner of Odin after connecting your handset.

Next, unpack Android 2.0 XXLD1 [S8600XXLD1] in a folder. Once unpacked, in Odin, press AP and then select the “.tar.md5” file from the Android 2.0 XXLD1 [S8600XXLD1] folder. Select Auto-reboot from the option and then press Start. After this, you have to wait until your phone is restarted automatically. When it is finished, it will now be running on Android 2.0 S8600XXLD1.
