Hello,

Yes it is possible for the Apple Macintosh computer to get a virus. But infection rate is less than the windows users.

This because of Mac OS builds on the UNIX kernel and it's very secure one.

There are only small percentages of users using Mac OS. So it is hard to spread a virus like Microsoft windows viruses.

Thank You

John Major.

Macintosh systems are definitely not susceptible to viruses and worms maybe because they are using Unix-based kernel. Although we cannot disregard the possibility that it can also be attacked by Trojan just like an ordinary PC. But you don’t have to worry about the malware on your Mac system because it's security can handle it. Remember that there are 3 different types of Malware: Trojans, Worms and Viruses.
