Need a little help
Is it must to use a Thermal Gel when we install a CPU?
Because I’ve installed my CPU before three months but so far no problem but just now I know that there is a kind of Gel between the HeatSink and CPU. Can anybody tell me how much it cost and where can I buy

When you install a brand new processor, no need for a thermal paste. Because under the heatsink there is a thermal Compound layer. But when ever you remove it for cleaning or for some other reason, you better remove that gel and clean the surface and keep some new gel before you fix it back

Just go to any Computer shop and ask them for ""Thermal Compound""
and the price will be from 3$ to 6$ depending on the brand. Don’t thing about the price just buy it and paste it Because it will give your processor long life"
Let me tell you some more detail about this…
we can use the same "Heatsink compound between heatsink and processor as well as between the heat sink and the Video Chip.
It comes in small tubes with various brand and various shapes. What ever the brand the duty of the Gel is same.
So don't worry about the brand.
When ever you remove the heat sink, clean the old gel and apply a bit of new gel as this would help to absorb the heat of the chip via heat sink very well.
I think now a days it can be purchased from the local hardware shops but for sure you'll get it from the computer accessory shops.
Average price will be 3$ – 6$ If my memory is sharp 🙂
