Is Apple going to release a low budget gadget known as iphone mini that sports the icloud software within?
For now the iphone mini is what it is, a rumor. Kotaku reports that Apple to launch a smaller and cheaper iphone in the end of the quarter of the year. It is rumored that it will cost anywhere from US$200. Bloomberg cites people familiar with this matter will try to slow the advance of competing Android devices by releasing cheaper iphones. The new and cheaper iphone is said to be revealed midyear and will be two thirds the size of the current iphone and will have no home button. The other possibility is the release of a dual mode phone that would allow the use on both Verizon’ CDMA network and At&T GSM network.
According to a report coming from Taiwan’s DigiTimes, which one writer referred to as “sometimes-reliable source”, Apple is rumored to be working on not only one handset but two iPhone models within this year. The two Smartphones, an iPhone 5S and the so-called iPhone mini, are planned to be launched in the third quarter of this year, 2013. The rumored iPhone mini is said to be similar to the smaller iPhone 4S.
The rumored low-cost handset will have a less advanced display as well as processor. But the said iPhone 5S is rumored to have doubled the previous release’s pixel count to around 1.5 million. The two supposed Smartphones are said to be released some time in September and will begin its mass production in June.
