The Bluetooth works in those phones which have already the Bluetooth installed in them as there is no Bluetooth in iPhone so you can not use Bluetooth in iPhone, but there are many alternative applications available to transfer data from one iPhone to another, but it is not valid from iPhone to another manufacturer. There are several applications to transfer data from one iPhone to another but the most like application in iPhone is "Bump".

If you active "Bump" application in the both iPhones, select the required data from the Bump application which you want to transfer and shake both iPhones, but make sure you place both iPhones near to each other, after shaking them the connection request will appear to other iPhone. Accept it and the data will be transferred.

Yes, you can transfer files from one phone to another using the Bluetooth technology. This is only possible if your mobile phone supports Bluetooth technology like in Nokia N70 and all Smartphones today. I don’t think if there is still a single Smartphone today that is not capable or doesn’t have the Bluetooth technology.

You can use the Bluetooth feature when transferring files to another Bluetooth-enabled phone or Smartphone, using the phone as a modem by connecting it to a PC to surf the internet, and using the hands-free feature of the phone by pairing it with a Bluetooth or wireless headset. But when using the Bluetooth technology especially when transferring files to another phone don’t expect it to be fast as with a regular PC-to-PC network connection. In Bluetooth, transferring of files takes a lot lesser than 200 kbps.
