This type of restoration error (error 1611) indicates that there has been issues with the security software installed on your PC that is making confliction with iTunes in the case of internet connection and other tasks and so iTunes is unable to perform the task perfectly.

First, disable your security software or antivirus that is blocking iTunes to its task and internet connectivity. Check that they aren’t blocking the following servers and ports:

  • Ports: 80 and 443
  • Servers:

phobos.apple.com

deimos3.apple.com

albert.apple.com

gs.apple.com

itunes.apple.com

ax.itunes.apple.com

evintl-ocsp.verisign.com

evsecure-ocsp.verisign.com

Check your time and date whether it is accurate. If not, set them to the appropriate point.

Also, update your iTunes to the latest version. It is very important because latest version comes with many improvements with various tasks and will be helpful. Download iTunes.

Check the “hosts” file on “C:WindowsSystem32driversetc” that it doesn’t contain any server or port that is being used by iTunes to update iPhone.
